Vol. 6 No.1 (2026): EIRINI – EIRINI/Young Scholar Studies on Gender

We are pleased to announce the publication of the sixth issue of EIRINI / Young Scholar Studies on Gender

The new issue brings together a diverse range of perspectives and research approaches, exploring questions of gender, identity, space, and cultural difference. Its pages feature discussions on masculinity and mangia in the world of rebetiko, gendered wandering and the experience of space in the cinema of Agnès Varda, as well as the intersections of masculinity, migration, and otherness in contemporary Greek literature.

The issue also includes two book reviews that broaden the discussion to queer and gender literary criticism, as well as femicide, gender-based violence, and the methodological approaches of Rita Laura Segato. By bringing these perspectives into dialogue, the reviews seek to build bridges between Latin America and contemporary Greek reality.

With each new issue, EIRINI continues to provide a space for publication, dialogue, and exchange, bringing together emerging research voices and encouraging critical conversations around gender, sexuality, space, cultural otherness, and power relations.

We invite you to explore the new issue and discover the diverse perspectives and voices featured in its pages.
