{"id":837,"date":"2020-01-17T22:42:27","date_gmt":"2020-01-17T19:42:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cbg-lab.uom.gr\/en\/?p=837"},"modified":"2020-01-17T22:43:02","modified_gmt":"2020-01-17T19:43:02","slug":"chs-ccs-fellowships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cbg-lab.uom.gr\/en\/?p=837","title":{"rendered":"CHS \u2013 CCS Fellowships"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Since 2008, CHS has generously supported the <a href=\"https:\/\/chs.harvard.edu\/CHS\/article\/display\/5356?menuId=94\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harvard Summer Program in Nafplio and Thessaloniki (Greece)<\/a>,\n by offering two research fellowships to a) junior faculty members \n(Adjunct Lecturers, Lecturers or Assistant Professors) and b) Scientific\n and Laboratory Teaching Staff (&#8220;\u0395\u0394\u0399\u03a0&#8221; and &#8220;\u0395\u0395\u03a0&#8221;) who hold a PhD, of \nSchools of Humanities and Social Sciences from Greek Universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The fellows participate in the program by presenting their research \nand interacting with colleagues and students from the U.S. and all \naround the world, while the team exchanges experiences and ideas about \ntheir different educational systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fellowships aim to attract applicants with an academic background\n strongly related with the disciplines of Comparative Cultural Studies, \nthe academic core of this program. CHS gives preference to those whose \napplication and cover letter suggests that they would be comfortable \nworking in an intimate, international, multilingual community of \nscholars. Former experience in similar academic programs\/activities in \nGreece or abroad will be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The fellowship includes:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Year-long appointment as CHS Fellow in Comparative Cultural Studies in Greece.\n<\/li><li>\nYear-long access to all Harvard electronic resources. The fellows \nwill receive an ID and HarvardKey to have access to all digital \nlibraries, available through the Harvard University library system.\n<\/li><li>\nA week-long stay in Nafplio or in Thessaloniki in July 2020 (dates to\n be determined). The fellows will join the summer program and interact \nwith the students and the faculty. They will attend all seminars taught \nduring that week and address a one-hour lecture to the students on their\n respective fields of interest. The Center covers accommodation, \ntransportation, breakfast and dinner, during the fellow\u2019s stay with the \nsummer program, and offers a stipend aiming to cover additional \nexpenses.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaborating Educational Institutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past, fellows came primarily from the Universities of Patras \nand Ioannina. Since 2016, CHS opened applications to all Humanities and \nSocial Sciences Schools of Higher Education in Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chs.harvard.edu\/CHS\/article\/display\/6534\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">For a full list of all Faculties, Schools and Departments of Greek Academic Institutions, please click here<\/a>.
